I just hope the storyline is better this time around.
The gameplay and visualsof Dying Light 2 look incredible. The Following was a bit better in the storytelling department but it lacked the claustrophobic atmosphere that base game was so good at creating. The story often failed to surprise and when it did wasn't always in a good way. Plus Craine was a very generic protagonist, felt like I knew what he was going to say before he even said and often I did as he was just so predictable. People criticize Assassin's Creed for their NPCs being wooden but wow AC has nothing on Dying Light in that regard. Despite all that what made it fall flat (for me) was the fairly mediocre story and the many cardboard cutout characters you would encounter. The great use of parkour, and favoring melee combat over guns (for most of the game) as they would draw too much attention from both bandits and Zombies. I loved the world, how it truly made you feel boxed in inside a Zombie infested city. I have to admit the game does look fantastic, though the original Dying Light wasn't the amazing experience for me that it was for other people.
